COP is a program run by the San Antonio Police Department which trains neighbors to be vigilant against crime. This neighborhood watch program was formerly known as Cellular on Patrol. Whispering Oaks residents have participated in the program for many years and volunteers remain actively involved.

Participants are trained by SAPD how to spot community safety problems and vulnerabilities. The latest data on how to deter burglaries, robberies, vandalism and accidents is shared during the training. Officers also instruct on how to safely assist when a potential crime is underway.

Adult residents are welcome to join this no-cost program by attending an evening orientation. Graduates may be offered a ride-along tour with a SAPD officer. Click to visit the SAPD website to learn more.
